Finite element simulation of transmission and reflection of acoustic waves in the ultrasonic transducer

Abstract In scanning acoustic microscopy (SAM) , the image quality depends on several factors like noise level, resolution, and interaction of waves with sample boundaries. The theoretical equations for reflection coefficient transmission are suitable plane boundaries but fail curved/rough We presented a finite element method-based modeling loss coefficients in SAM.
